The contact form does not send anything by itself. Pressing its button opens your own email application with a message already composed from what you typed: your name, your email address, an optional phone number and your message. You decide whether to press send there. This site does not store what you type into the form, and we only receive a message if you send it from your email application. A message that reaches us is ordinary email and carries what email carries, including your address and the time it was sent.
We use what you send for these purposes only: to understand your enquiry, to reply to you, to arrange a first meeting if you want one and, if an engagement follows, to prepare and carry out the written agreement. We do not use enquiries for newsletters, advertising or profiling, and we do not add you to any list you did not ask to join.
This site sets no cookies. It uses one entry in your browser's local storage, named ckcb, to remember that you closed the notice at the top of the page; it holds no personal data. Clearing your browser data removes it, and the notice then appears again on your next visit. We run no analytics or advertising tools, and the fonts, scripts and images on the site are served from the site itself.
The site is delivered by a web hosting service. Hosting services normally keep technical records such as IP addresses and request times for security and operation, and those records belong to the hosting provider. We do not use them to identify or follow individual visitors.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing. Your message travels through the email services that carry it, as any email does. We may disclose personal data where the law requires it or with your consent. If an engagement needs a specialist, for example a lawyer or tax accountant of your choice, we introduce them only after you agree and share only what you approve.
We do not transfer personal data outside Japan on purpose. Email providers may route messages through servers in other countries; that is outside our control, and a message you send is carried by your own provider as well as ours.
We keep enquiry emails that do not lead to an engagement for up to eighteen months after the last reply, then delete them. Records of an engagement are kept for as long as the written agreement and the law require, and are then deleted or destroyed.
Our mailbox is protected by the access controls of our email provider and is read only by the people who handle enquiries. We cannot guarantee the security of email in transit, so please do not send passwords, identity numbers, bank details or other sensitive information by email. If something sensitive is needed, we agree on a safer way first.
Under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information you may ask us to disclose, correct, add to, delete or stop using personal data we hold about you. Write to hello@saffroncloudharbor.com or to the address below and give the email address you wrote from, so that we can find the message. We confirm that the request comes from you and reply in writing.
The site and our work are meant for businesses and their owners and managers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If this policy changes, the new text replaces the old one on this page and the date at the top is updated. A change in how we handle data that matters to you, such as a contact form that stores messages on a server, will be described here before it starts.
