07What we provide
Strategy advisory for founders, family businesses and regional companies: strategy intensives, family transition advisory, market entry reviews, organisational restructuring discussions and ongoing advisory arrangements, delivered as meetings, analysis and written reports. We sell no physical goods.
08Who the service is for
The services are meant for businesses, their owners and their managers. If you would be contracting as an individual for personal purposes, tell us before you agree to a proposal so that the right terms are written into it.
09Language of the service
This site is written in English. The language of an engagement, its meetings and its reports is agreed in the written proposal.
10Price
There is no price list. The fee for each engagement is quoted in a written proposal before work begins, in Japanese yen, with the treatment of consumption tax stated in the proposal.
11Charges other than the fee
Anything beyond the fee, such as travel for meetings outside the agreed place, the fees of third-party professionals you choose to involve, or bank transfer charges, is stated in the proposal. Nothing is charged that is not written there.
12What a proposal contains
Scope of work, the people involved, timing, the fee, payment method and timing, how either side can end the engagement early, and how confidential material is handled. A proposal that leaves one of these out is not ready to be agreed, and you are welcome to ask us to complete it.
13Payment methods
Stated in the written proposal. This site does not take payments and has no online checkout.
14Payment timing
As set out in the written proposal. We issue invoices in line with that agreement.
15Start of service
Work starts on the date set in the proposal once you have agreed to it in writing. A first conversation takes place before that and carries no obligation.
16How deliverables are provided
Reports and other deliverables are provided as files by email or handed over at a meeting, as the proposal states. We do not ship physical goods, so there are no delivery fees.
17Cancellation and refunds
Before you agree to a proposal you may stop the conversation at any time at no cost. The terms for ending an engagement early, and for any refund, are written into each proposal before it is agreed.
18If a deliverable does not match the agreed scope
No goods are sold, so rules on returning goods do not apply. If you think a report or other deliverable does not match what was agreed, tell us in writing and we will respond in writing.
19Limits of the service
We are not a law firm, a tax or accounting practice, a licensed financial adviser or a filing agent. No result is promised. Details are in the terms of use.
20Qualified invoice registration number
Not shown on this site. Please ask in your enquiry if you need it.
21Personal data
How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy. Enquiries sent through the contact form are composed in your own email application and are not stored by this site.
22Governing law
Japanese law applies. The court with jurisdiction is set out in the terms of use.
