02What the site is
The site is an overview of a small strategy advisory practice and a place to read our articles. It describes what we offer. It is not an offer capable of acceptance, not a quotation and not professional advice for your particular situation.
03The limits of our advice
We advise on strategy, structure and decisions. We are not a law firm, a tax or accounting practice, a licensed financial adviser or a filing agent, and this website claims no licence or qualification of that kind. Where a matter calls for one, for example contracts, tax filings, share valuation or company registration, a licensed professional of your choice carries it out. We can prepare you for that conversation and work alongside them.
04No guaranteed outcomes
Strategy work depends on decisions that people make afterwards. We do not promise growth, revenue, a successful succession, entry into a market or any other result, and nothing on this site should be read as such a promise. Articles describe general patterns, not results achieved for named clients.
05How an engagement is agreed
The scope, schedule, fee, payment terms and the people involved in any engagement are set out in a written proposal. Nothing is binding until you have agreed to it in writing, and what the site says about formats or timing is only the usual shape of the work. The fee is quoted before work starts; we do not begin billable work on the strength of an email enquiry alone.
06Confidentiality
We treat what you tell us as confidential, we do not name clients or describe their situations publicly without permission, and we ask the same care of anyone we involve with your agreement. A written agreement can add specific terms, such as a separate non-disclosure agreement.
07Our content
The text and layout of this site belong to Saffron Cloud Harbor or are used with permission. The photographs are stock images that illustrate a topic; they do not show our clients. You may quote short extracts with credit and a link. Copying or reusing the content commercially needs our written consent.
08Links and third parties
Where a page links to another website, we do not control that site and are not responsible for it. This website itself loads nothing from third-party servers.
09Accuracy
We try to keep the information here correct, but dates, hours, formats and fees can change before the pages do. Where this site and a written proposal differ, the written proposal applies.
10Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from decisions made only on the basis of general information on this site, or from the site being unavailable. This does not limit any liability that cannot be limited under Japanese law, including liability for intent or gross negligence.
11Use of the site
Please do not misuse the site: no attempts to disrupt it, to test its security without our consent or to collect its content automatically in bulk. We may block access that does.
12Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The current text is always the one on this page, and continued use after a change means you accept the revised version. Engagements already agreed in writing stay governed by their own agreement.
13Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. For disputes that cannot be settled by talking, the court of first instance with jurisdiction over the registered address of Saffron Cloud Harbor in Tsuyama, Okayama, is the agreed court, as far as the law permits.
